First impressions:

These felt so much softer than other brands of similar price range, I'm hopeful they continue to be better after a wash. Right out of the package these were decently soft. Other brands were extremely stiff & starched feeling. After a wash other brand was pretty wrinkled, especially at edges, like you would expect from 100% cotton,
not turkish cotton. I'll update after a wash. They do look exactly the same as the other brand as far as weight and tightness of weave. If they weren't different colors I wouldn't be able to tell them apart by sight alone. I purchased this set because my daughter wanted pink & there wasn't one in either other set, now I'm glad I did!
These are only 37" x 66" not the 39" x 79" advertised. I did not include fringe in this measurement, that adds about 5" total. The other brands purchased were the advertised size without fringe, so that is what I expected. The others did shrink a few inches after a cold wash/ hang dry, so maybe these are preshrunk? I'll update this also after a wash.
Overall, if these remain softer than others after a wash I'll be very happy. I don't mind the other brands being less soft as I honestly didn't think I'd get real turkish cotton & I've got little kids who are messy & love them anyway (translated, they'll get used hard & often so I'm still getting my $ worth). That said I'm pleasantly surprised so far & can't wait to see how these hold up. If you're hoping for a bargain on turkish cotton these are a better bet than other brands so far.

UPDATE:
After taking the towels out of the dryer (cold wash, low/med/short time dryer) they were softer, did not appear to have much shrinkage, and folded up all six smaller than just one of my other towels. My husband and I have been using them all weekend. It sounds weird, but there's a learning curve in using these. It is NOT like drying off with a Terry towel. They are lighter weight unless you are actively rubbing an area of your body to dry it, it doesn't "cling" and absorb the way terry cloth towels do. (if that makes sense). My husband has back problems and sometimes needs assistance drying off his rediculously hairy legs..... These towels are AMAZING for that. They don't stick to his leg hairs and prevent rubbing like normal towels and they dry them super fast.
If I ever decide to splurge on towels again, this will be the route I take.
For starters I am happy with my purchase. They arrived exactly when they said they would. I also read the reviews before purchasing and another customer mentioned that one was able to contact the seller directly after checking out and request colour choices. I took advantage of this and got the colours I liked best.
The first pic is of all 6 folded together right out of the package, all together they are just slightly bigger than one of my regular towels. I unfolded one and handed it to my husband, whose a big guy and it was able to give him as much if if not a bit more coverage than a bath sheet from a big box store. So far so good.
The seller and most reviews said to wash before using, they are currently in the dryer. They were a bit rough right out of the package, some colours more than others, (probably due to the dyes, like with jeans). Who really wants to use a new towel without washing it first though..... All those random hands touching them.... No thanks. Even regular towels aren't as soft at purchase as they are after washing.
I unfolded them all to put in washer and noticed a small place on one that looked like a small snag had been stitched over, but a well done job of it. This might bother some people, it doesn't bother me, it's not a hole.
Would I purchase again?? That remains to be seen after I use them for a while. Truth be told if I hadn't have had a gift card I couldn't have brought myself to spend $42.00 on towels in the first place. I cringed at spending $14 for one at big box store. They were definitely less expensive than the ones I saw at the mall kiosk where my interest was first piqued of Turkish towels. Will try to remember to update and add post wash photos. This is our second set of Turkish Towels for our sailboat. We use these literally all the time. Perfect as towels, they are lightweight, super absorbent and dry quickly. Wrap around your waist as cover up, or wrap around your chest for a longer cover up. Cover the settee with them to absorb water and keep salt off the upholstery. Plus the colors are so cheerful! I'm thinking this seller has sold at least three more sets because my friends have said they are buying. There are many Turkish Towel deals out there in interweb land. Most of them are extremely overpriced, some ridiculously so. This is a good deal. The seller is making money, and the buyer is getting a good price. Win/win. Be sure to WASH and DRY them before using. When they come they will feel crisp and almost starched. That's normal. This photo was taken after their first washing/dry. First, remember these are supposed to be very thin. They have no nap or plushness. They aren’t supposed to. Second, these are very large. When your child, or in my case, my 4’10” 17 year old daughter goes to fold them, they will need help! Third, they are extremely absorbent. They dry you off very quickly and well. They also dry your hair well. The towels themselves dry very quickly too. Yes, they come directly from Istanbul, Turkey. It takes about a week depending on customs & various holidays. Believe me, you won’t miss the plush bath towels at all. These will be your favorites as soon as they come out of the first wash!

I love these towels! I replaced almost all of my big fluffy towels with these after trying them out. I can fit all 12 (2 sets) in the space I had for two of our oversized beach towels. We used to take big beach towels boating. They would get soaked after the first use and be sopping wet, heavy and useless the rest of the day. These are perfect! I keep a stack of them in a small waterproof zip up bag. They aren’t fluffy, but they block the wind and work as a towel/ blanket/ wrap around. I can wash all 12 at once on delicate and dry on low. I've had turkish towels before, so I was expecting the thinness that I see some people complain about. Time will tell if these get a little more absorbent & softer after a few washes. I was initially just disappointed that the colors aren't as vibrant in person as they were in the picture - they're more pastel in real life than I expected.Style: 6 Pack / Passion of Love

I was really looking forward to receiving these, but it turned out to be disappointing. When I unwrapped the package, I found the towels to be drenched in perfume, as if someone had intentionally sprayed perfume onto them. Then I found a weird fuzzy piece sewn into the orange towel which I cannot pull out, and a thread coming out of the middle of the blue towel's fabric. UPDATE: I returned this set and received the replacement, which was perfect.Style: 6 Pack / Rainbow

I was looking for lightweight towels for our camper and settled on ordering these. I thought they would be similar to another thin, soft, and highly absorbent Turkish towel I already own, but these are clearly lesser quality in softened, thickness, and weave structure. I’ve washed and dried twice, which has helped the towels soften up and increase absorbency. I am keeping them because of the price point for a lightweight camper towel, but I would not recommend them as a true Turkish beach towel. The plus side is that they dry quickly and were fairly absorbent after one washing. They are very compact and lightweight, which makes them a good choice for adding to the camper or kids backpacks for summer camp.Style: 6 Pack / 6 Multi-color

I first ordered these towels in summer of 2023 and loved them. So much so that I ordered more in March of 2024. They look and feel the same but something about the product has the changed. When I wash and dry my newer towels there is SO MUCH LINT, even after multiple washes. That did not happen with the first ones I bought.Style: 6 Pack / 6 Multi-color

I knew these were thin and smooth. But after two washings with only these towels in the load, they are all pulled up with little brown pills.
It makes them look dirty or like the are covered in lint. It is actually pilling of the material though.
Sad :-(. I really wanted to love them
Update- it’s been a while. I buzzed the pills off and then have washed these separate and without wool balls in the dryer. They haven’t pilled again yet. I love them for the beach because they shake off easy and make a great wrap for cover up while walking to and from my spot!Style: 6 Pack / 6 Multi-color

The towels are nice and very soft. I like that they are light weight for packing. However, I am very disappointed in the colors. In a package of 6 I received 3 that were pretty colors (green, pink, lavender), one grey with white stripes, one black with white stripes, and one that is just plain white. The white is so plain! These are intended as gifts for a girls weekend, and so the colors are very disappointing.Style: 6 Pack / Sultan
